Went for happy hour, place is noisy but service fantastic. Waite staff work together and are so accommodating. The jerk chicken sandwich was wonderful. Everything fresh, hot and tastey. Can't wait to go back and bring my out of townies

While visiting family in Edgewater ,Daytona 500 week. we went to McKenna's. We had such a good time, That we went twice. All seven of us enjoyed both dinners Food was delicious. Traditional Irish pub food. With good seafood. Great 2 for 1 margaritas: Place was alive and packed both nights. TV's all over, Will definitely return when back in area.

Well, we go to sports bars to watch games, and eat burgers, fries, and wings, and have a cold beer. So did I. Service was the most noticeable thing here. Not sure if this is always the case. The place was not too crowded. They always asked me if I needed something. Not much to write about other than I had a McKennas burger with fries. I had well done. Fries were very very good. To improve, the bun was like out of the package, I would appreciate if next time they put it in the grill a little bit.

Great place to eat. Always good food. Never have to wait to be seated. The Phillies are great. Excellent sports bar. Make sure you ask for Taylor, she's the best!

I got a whirlwind tour of New Smyrna's array of sports bars (or, places to watch sports) on Sat, Feb 22, 2014 when my ball team was on the CBS Sports Network (subscriber-based station). None of the local bars had the channel but they all did try for me. McKenna's was the last stop, where we finally gave up and settled in for lunch. The spinach salad with blackened chicken was more than satisfactory. My friends had, respectively, the cheeseburger and fries, and the buffalo chicken sandwich (a chicken patty with buffalo sauce). Staff were friendly even given my frustration at not finding my game on the TV.

First time I had the garlic parm wings they were greasy, figured I'd give them another try and I got home opened the box and they are soaked in a pool of grease :( If I push on a wing the oil oozes out. I cannot speak for the other wings but I will never order these again pretty disappointing. I will add a photo.

Local Sports Bar not a bad place been here several times to meet friends for drinks. Lots of TVs to watch the games ( Watched San Francisco beat Green Bay tonight :) oops did I smile. The food is okay nothing spectacular lots of fried choices they have clam and conch chowder or a mixture of each they call "swirl" not a fan but to each his / her own. Had a Reuben tonight the corn beef was fresh and hand craved it was a winner the wings are good not great but pass on the burgers. Tonight Beth was our server she was great no complaints on the service. I didn't like the fact that they charge an extra fifty cent for a thimble full of ranch dressing this stuff must be fifty dollars a bottle some places don't understand it's not the price it's the point. I will return I'm sure it's close to home.

We stop and eat here EVERY time we go to New Smyrna beach. The food is delicious, the service is amazing and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. The smoked fish dip is THE BEST you will ever eat! The children's portions are very generous as well. We are faithful patrons when we are in town! I would recommend this place (and have) to everyone.

A solid 4 stars. Great bar food. Very consistent. The manager always has a smile and a hello no matter how busy he is.

This place is legit! I work in the area and try to get here at least once a week. All food is good. If you come on Wednesday, get the shepherds pie. Any other day I get the Reuben.

I don't normally eat fried food but I tried the fries oysters here. I remember eating them at the famous Pop's Casbah in Melbourne years and years ago and loved them. Mckenna"s is every bit as good as those were. Service was good too. I'll go back when I return to Florida again.

We decided to try this place based on a recommendation of a friend. It's located in the strip mall next to the movie theatre. McKenna's has a very extensive menu, which excited me, along with tthe reasonable prices. Everything that went by our table looked great. I settled on their big house salad with a fillet of their crunchy fried fish on top. One of my favorite things was the cucumber, wasabi ranch dressing. My husband got a fried oyster sandwich, which he enjoyed. My daughter ordered the chicken strips, of course. They were delicious fried cutlets. We also got soem steamed oysters, but they were just ok. This is a very casual sports bar with lots of tvs and a small video arcade for kids.

We are new to New Smyrna and trying out all the local restaurants. Our son and his family were visiting. McKennas was a hit with everyone. A varied menu that worked for all...seafood dinner, wings, sandwiches and salads. They were somewhat crowded (early afternoon on Sunday), but we had no wait and the service was great. We will definitely put McKennas on our list because the food is good and there is a great selection.

Yummy clam chowder and excellent lobster special. A must if you're nearby. Excellent value, too. My dad is a tough customer and the wait staff did a great job. Thanks.

McKenna's is a mainstay in New Smyrna Beach and has become a local favorite, not only with us but many locals and vacationers. It's consistent quality, very reasonable prices and generous portions have never disappointed my family and I nor our friends. We always bring out of towners here to have a great experience too. I've been going since it opened over nine years ago.

My family loves eating here! Wonderful items are snow crab legs, prime rib, french onion soup, and caesar salad. All the servers are always very friendly every time.

I tried this restaurant because I have the same name, so I figured it had to be good. :) It is very good! I've been a couple times now and my boyfriend and I always have a great time. It's usually very busy, so expect a little wait. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Service is very good and it has a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a try!

After spending some time at Canaveral National Seashore, we stopped at McKenna's for lunch. We ordered a crabcake sandwich and a red fish sandwich. My fish filet was probably twice the length of the bun. My wife's crab cake was excellent, not much filler at all. Service was very good and the staff was friendly.

This is your typical sports bar. The food isn't great (with the exception of the wings) but if you want to go somewhere to watch the game this is your local place!

If you are from Buffalo NY, or have had wings while visiting Buffalo, NY; then you gotta try McKenna's hot wings. Extra crispy and just the right amount of sauce, the same way Buffalo does it.

My group went to McKenna's on a Sunday and watched football. The restaurant has over 20 TVs, excellent food, and friendly service. When we arrived, the hostess asked us if we wanted to watch a particular game (we did). They then sat us at a table where we could see our preferred game. Nice touch. The food was fresh and the restaurant was filled with locals (and a lot of families). You won't go wrong here.
